An Old Newbie

We're new to this forum, we've been into Vintage Streams sense about '92 or '93. We currently have six, down from a high of ten about two years ago. I've always thought of them as the perfect accesory to vintage cars. My lovely wife has always viewed them as a good investment, they are and have been for us for quite a while. We've cleaned up and sold several. I've got to step back from the old cars for a while and get some of these ready to go to somebody else's house. Looking for new ideas for the normal old problems.

Welcome

Sounds like you and the wifey have a leettle h'experience with the silver ladies greybearded.
Welcome to the forums and do share pics of your past and current loves, we all love to see pictures, ooh and aah, get ideas, we're all in this together! Fancy vintage tow vehicles will also get a lot of attention round these parts.
There is lots of advice worth creeping the forums for and the search function is very helpful.
Enjoy!

Whoa!!

Wait a gol darn minute, did you say SIX down from TEN?? Yikes... does your wife know? Are they all lined up OR in parts all over the place to camouflage how many you really have? Apparently this works for farmers when they don't want the wife to know how many tractors they actually have. Geez, six.......

A long, long time ago in a galaxie far, far away. Airstreams started out as my hobby, once the wife found out I was making money with them there was a hostile take over. Isn't it funny how that happens, no not really. I haven't made a dime sense.

I do own two of the six outright. A '56 FLYING CLOUD that will be towed behind our '58 Del Rio Ford wagon. My other trailer is a '67 TRADEWIND twin bed floorplan International that tows behind a '66 F100. I think they should be towed by something within the same year range.

We jointly own a '48 Wee Wind that once restored will be towed behind (MY) '47 Club Coupe Ford.

Her three trailers are a '59 Safari, a '61 or '62 Falcon, (ever once in a while I'll get on the Airstream Archives to find out what year it is), and a '62 Bambi.
The Bambi, Falcon, & Wee Wind are all restoration projects. The other three are just users with all the patina still in place.

Hoarders, just what we need, more hoarders. It's no wonder I can't find an old trailer.

Posting pictures!

I tried three times today. Got frustrated all three times. Had bigger fish to fry. I'll figure it out, the next thing I'll here then is, "does this guy ever stop".
