Am I Official?

Hello everyone! Been lurking on this site for weeks looking in the classifieds for a great towable for a reasonable price...finally found a 1986 Airstream Argosy 32 for a price that blew my mind on RV Trader! I pondered, I looked at her everyday online, compared her with older & newer models then finally bit the bullet & called the RV dealer after 2 weeks of questioning myself if this 50 something widow still had it in her to hook & haul off like my younger nomadic days of "hey, I think I will go camping, if you want to come great if not I'm going anyway". I happened to get the owner of the RV dealership when I called & he said he was the one who towed her from Georgia to his lot in Central Florida & she towed excellent & when he plugged her in, everything worked, he also said he did not find any soft spots in the floor with a quick inspection....I'm thinking her price was already reasonable but what the heck, why not offer $3000 for her? I studied her photos & did not see any waterstains or loosening of the trim on the countertops, she looked pretty darn good & her exterior shots show her exterior to be in excellent shape with the awning nicely wrapped. They accepted my offer .

Did I make a wise purchase? Am I official as a sort of Airstream owner even though she's a pretty Airstream Argosy?

I am so looking forward to these forums for advice, guidance & support that I haven't lost my marbles

Thank you all, so happy to be here! Stick with me as I try to navigate the forum & learn to post photos & such.

Here is my first attempt at posting photos of my new girl...I am tickled "pink" about her, look at her photos & see why I think her pinkness is so cute & has so much potential to be cuter when the ugh carpet is replaced with a floating hardwood floor & the bathroom gets an update from the ugh plastic toilet...those toilets have always bugged me even though I am not adverse to trotting off to the bushes

I see great potential in this girl

That's a nice looking rig. I don't think there's anything that will make you any more official!

A similar model Airstream would lovingly be referred to as a Squarestream. I don't know if the "square" Agosy has a euphemism or not. They have some nice features including a little more storage space in the upper cabinets.

Good luck! See Ya Down the Road

I am really digging being "square"...especially seeing the great circle of "squares" I have found myself in. A fifth-wheel Airstream, how unique, a fifth-wheel Squarestream, even more unique & beautiful.

I saw him in concert years ago. He put on a great performance. A little known (at the time) guitarist named Stevie Ray Vaughn opened for him.
