Almost ready to buy our first AS!!

I want to thank everyone for all the very useful info over the past year. I havent posted in what feelings like eternity but I've been here all along like a fly on the wall! I just dont think I can absorb enough! I appreciate all of your comments and helpful tips along the way. My husband and I are headed to Phoenix in the morning to have a look at 3 late 70s model's. I'm prepared with AS checklist and will make sure to check on the sag and buckling of the shell. I saw an Airstream with the red club numbers and I really almost stopped at the campground just to chat about their airstream and where they've been with it. Would that have been creepy? Maybe... but it seems like any airstream owner I've come across has been pretty great. Airstreamers are good people. My kind of people.
