Someone built box windows that pop out of the sides. The original frames look intact, so just a matter of finding the right windows for it. It looks like a rewire and re-plumb job though. If I can get my price I think I can make it nice.
A word of caution regarding the windows. The windows utilized in 1968
were only utilized for a short period of time -- 1966
. These windows are referred to as Corning Tempered Glass Windows and both the glass, hinges, and frames are virtually unobtainable today -- reproduction glass is available, but quite expensive. If the coach needs all new windows and hardware, you may be looking at a very big job
that could become quite expensive. My suggestion would be to have someone who has knowledge of the 1966-1968 windows look at the coach with you to see just what would be necessary to restore the windows.
Good luck with your research and investigation!
