New member w/a 2010 23' Int'l. My LP alarm started to chirp. I shut both propane tank valves but alarm keeps chirping every 25 - 30 seconds. Why?

So when is this..."old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

We had the same problem with our detector ... as have many others on here. They recommend replacing these things every few years. When I removed our "chirping" detector I discovered the manufacture date on the back of the detector and it had outlived it's expected life (they say these things are good for only about 4 yrs. I think???).

Replaced it with a new one and no more "chirping".
