Airstreams near Dallas

My wife and I are newly relocated to Dallas for the next 4 years and have been house hunting for the last month. We're starting to throw the idea around of buying a nice AS and living in it. We're fairly used to tight quarters (23 ft toyota motorhome, 450 ft2 apartment) but would like something 24 feet or more, maybe even an AS motorhome. The room of a 30 footer would be great, but we'd probably keep a shorter one for the future.

My question is what is the best way to get into a few vintage AS to get a feel for their size? I've done plenty of lurking here, but there is no substitute for walking around the inside of one. Any rallies nearby? Anyone have one for sale? Anyone have one in their driveway we could drop by sometime for a quick tour?

Thanks in advance!

Mark

Hi - you are wise to take tours before buying. You can check the rally calendar on this site also contact the wbcci unit near you and see if they have any activities going on.

Take tours - talk to owners find out what they like and don't like. Welcome to the forums.
