Airstreamer, but new to forum

I'm new to the forum but have owned an A.S. for 5 years. By way of introduction, I live on the central coast of CA.
I've been checking out all of the great information here, lots of projects, tips, etc. I found this site after my 1998 25' Safari got rear-ended and totaled earlier this month and needed ammunition to fight with my insurance company on replacing my trailer. Alas, they don't have the same care for the trailer that I do.
'Bye for now, I'll be watching for more great posts and info.

Hi Dave, and welcome to the forums! Sorry to hear about your Safari - what rotten luck. I'm hoping the trailer is the only thing that got hurt (painful though it may be)? Good luck with your insurance company - what are your next plans for Airstreamin'?

We're currently looking for another, we have no plans on not camping just because the insurance Co doesn't cooperate!

Glad no one was hurt and glad you found us.

I'm sure you have or will get sticker shock when you look at the price of a new Safari. However, if you are into both the International and the Safari, the new Safari SE's are something to consider if you are in the market for new. You get the best of both worlds.

Having owned our '06 for less than three months and experienced two separate incidents of body damage and one collapsed awning arm, I can understand the gut wrenching feeling of seeing crumpled aluminum. Are there any chances that Jackson Center could restore the rear? They did excellent work on our coach, all be it far less damage than yours endured.

I work for an Insurance Company. Send me a PM if I can help you. The problem is that adjustors don't deal with trailer damage that much so it is hard for them to establish a fair value, You have to "help them".
