Adventure!!!!!!

Hi! First things first. Thanks to everyone here on airforums for all the pictures and advise, I HAVE BEEN INSPIRED!!!!!
Thru a totaly random and unantisapated series of events I have found myself in possesion of a 1960 or 61 26' (overlander?) that has been sitting behind my bosses' barn for 13 years. He had been using it as a hunting/fishing base camp untill the MOULD became overpowering. Mould from it being flooded out several years ago. YUCK! The interior was hopeless (MOLD! YUCK!!) But out side has only a minor dent on the front curbside corner and 2 cracked windows. My Dad assures me it will scrap for more then I bought it for, but I am in love. I want to grow old with this trailer (think:retirement home). I have almost boundless energy and inthusiasm to invest in this project. The *GROSS* interior is almost all out and I'm looking for new floor/new insulation advise.
Any one who would like to mentor a kid on this subject or has a project story to share PLEASE e-mail me.

congratulations and welcome to the forums.

check out this link to more extensive renovations. the "63 for me" thread is a complete renovation of a 63 overlander, quite nicely done by forum member uwe.

not to worry

Don't let that condition bother you.
You should look thru the photo archives here.....two projects come to mind.
Maybe some one here can direct you to the pics I mean....moss ,mold and mice....I might add in men too. You can't believe what some man made disasters look like. The finished results on many of these Airstreams is spectacular.

Welcome Sobo

I am thinking that if there was visible mold, there is almost certainly
mold in places where you can't see. I am saving my pennies for an Ozone generator. Maybe you could do a forum search and/or an internet search
on this topic. Prices for Ozone generators suitable for disinfecting a trailer
average somewhere near $300- $500. Can I borrow yours ????? Dave
