A Very Special Thanks
We joined the forum a couple of months ago and this site has been a tremendous find for us. I really couldn't find where else to post this particular thread so I settled on the member introductions. My wife and I looked up Switz a while back as we noted that he lived in the Phoenix area. We were going to be there during Christmas and asked if he would be willing to give us a viewing of his two Airstreams and tow vehicle. He indicated that he would be glad to. We met him at the storage lot in Apache Junction and for the next 3 hours he gave us a first-class introduction into the Airstream world! He gave us an extremely thorough tour of his International and Classic trailers and pointed out detail after detail on how they come from the factory, modifications that he made and why he made them. He went over every square inch of both models. He also gave us a very detailed look at his Dodge 2500 tow vehicle and the hitches that he has on both units. We talked tires, brakes, solar panels, batteries, awnings, water heaters, you name it. We can not thank him enough for sharing not only his time, but his unbelievable knowledge as well. Not once did he come across as boastful or condescending. We are deeply indebted to Lou and trust me, if he weighs in on any of your postings, you can take it to the bank that he knows what he is talking about. We are so grateful to him and this site... so many wonderful people!!
