'92 Excella with "Formaldehyde" Smell

I recently purchased a '92 34' Excella 1000 which gives off an unbearable smell of "Formaldehyde" like oder if you leave closed for any length of time.
It has full carpet, grey looking plumbing with crimp type connection at all joints and uphostry is vynil looking with foam under. Drawers and furniture are dark varnished wood. The walls look as if they are veneer type plastic or vynil. I am the second owner. The first owner used it very little, so it was probably left closed up a lot prior to me taking posession. Is there any way get rid of this oder?? Has any one with this model had a simular experience?? Any suggestions as to how to get rid of this oder would be appreciated.

The carpet is the biggest bang for the buck in chasing out odors. Our AS had fairly new carpet when we got it, and I replaced only the kitchen and living area with laminate, and it has less odor than before. Yuo might try a good professional carpet cleaning, but replacement will may prove the best solution.

Where are my mannors. Welcome to the forums! Good luck
with your trailer!
