72' Overlander

She's not new, however she is ours. She is our first. She just needs some attention and TLC. We brought her from Arkansas to the great state of Texas. I have wanted an Airstream for years. My wife has liked them since I showed her one at a car show. Her family in Viet Nam thinks it is funny that you pull your second home behind you truck. We are hoping for many trips.

Congrats on the 72 Overlander! We have the same one. If you need any help on anything we may have tackled on ours, just give us a yell and we will be glad to help.

We looked at Tammy's site. We liked her curtains. Our trailer had no curtains when we bought her. My wife is thinking about making them. She has sewn for years. I have been trying to find out if you can buy them pre-made. What would an average price on a trailer like ours? We are not looking for anything too fancy. We have a 2 year old. Thank you. K

You appear to be in the "ideas stage"

We paid some serious bucks for extremely nice curtains from James Ambruso. Member Sneakinup did not, and his '72 Airstream turned out spectacularly.

You might want to look at Sneakinup's photo gallery since you are looking for improvement ideas.

We are new Airstreamers also, and you will find this is the place to be. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and willing to share it! Congrats on the new project and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forums. There is so much good information here.

Our trailer is a '70 Overlander - we've posted some pix.

We are also looking into curtain replacement - a prior owner had made some but we are thinking metal blinds.

Have fun and share your stories...
