68 Safari newbe

Hi,

I just joined and I'm not familiar with this posting stuff. I have a '68 Safari that I've torn the rear floor out of and I'm gathering info to complete the restoration.

Hello and welcome to the forum! This is the place to search for all kinds of restoration information. Just use the search tool found in the menu at the top of the page. Also, ask questions galore. Even though you'll probably be asking many questions that have been asked before, everyone on here remembers when they were the newbies. They'll be more than generous with their helpful answers. Merry Christmas! ~G

another vintage safari owner

Welcome to the forums, RAHIGGINS. We're not too far away, in Santa Barbara. We have a '67 Safari. The Forums is a fabulous place to find information on your trailer.

I have a 68 Safari that I am doing a complete remodel on. If you need parts I can get them to you. I had to have a completely new frame and subfloor done since my old stuff was rotted out.

Welcome to the Forums. You'll find a lot of good information here. The only way to get used to posting is to do it.

Hi There and Welcome. We also have a 68 Safari in the restoration mode. Our 16' 54 is completely done from the frame up. She's a shiny beauty and cute as can be. Are you getting rid of anything? I need 12V light covers, knob for the lights, curtain plastic doo-hickies, a better looking stove (wood look front panel). Good luck with the floor. That project is bound to lead to others.
Peace and Love,
Amy
