68 Caravel Heads to the Catskills

Hey Folks,

Just purchased a 68 Caravel. The Airstream is in Conneticuit and I will need to tow it to New York. The tow vehicle is a 1999 Cheverolet Silverado
4X4 V-6 4.3ltr long bed regular cab pickup truck. So the Caravel weight is 2200 lbs. well within my vehicles tow capacity of 5000 lbs.

I do not have a hitch, brake box, or 7 wire connector on the truck. Can anyone reccommend a quality hitch Class III or IV? Is this something I can install or should I have my mechanic install?

Of course any pointers on towing would be greatly appreciated.

Eventually I will get some photo's up.
