22FB Sport Water Pump?

Hello all,

New to the whole RV camping world, so not sure if this is a silly question?

Took our new trailer on our maiden voyage for a week long boondocking adventure.

My question is about the water pump. It sounds like a jack hammer going off under the cabinets. Noisy and vibrates the trailer. I'm sure it would be annoying to any neighbors if we were in a tight campground.

Is this normal? Seems pretty crappy for a high price trailer?

I dug under the cabinets and the pump was solidly mounted so that is not the issue. (at least solidly mounted to the thin plywood floor, nothing seems too solid on the interior of the trailer IMO)

(on an aside, when I was under the cabinets, I was shocked at all the construction debris left by the factory. Nobody cleaned up after themselves. Coming from the manufacturing business, I was not impressed. Poor housekeeping usually equates to poor safety & quality IMO)

Thanks

Yes, they’re generally quite noisy. Maybe someone who’s experimented with mounting will weigh in.

Re QC, Airstreams are high quality and very durable, but initial quality can leave much to be desired. They need sorting out. I saw a 22fb prior to PDI. It was obvious that plenty of QC happens at the dealer level.

you need to add something like a

Shurflo 182-200 Accumulator Tank

it Reduces pump cycling and Smooths water faucet pulses

its a very common problem.

AS should have these built in, but don't
