2004 Safari 28 SO

After years of dreaming and looking and thinking we finally bought our first RV. It’s a 2004 Safari 28 with a slide. We love it! We bought if from the original owners along with an F350 to tow it. My wife, daughter and I flew from Arizona to Rhode Island to pick them up. Our first night on the road we stayed at the Region 2 rally in Biglerville, PA. The next day we continued on to Raccoon Creek State Park outside Pittsburgh to visit my wife’s brother and family.

The 3rd day we drove to Toledo, OH and mooch docked at @wanderingwagners driveway. Day 4 we continued on to Monticello, IN and spent 2 nights with more family. Talk about an RVing initiation! We left the rig in Indiana and will be returning later in the summer to continue our trip home.

I chose member number 5977 after the tail number of the plane that my father and his sister bought in 1959 and is still in the family.

It’s hard to not have the new rig home with us. We want to spend more time with it.

Congrats, again, on the purchase of your Airstream. It was a pleasure to meet you all at the Region 2 Rally in Biglerville and we’re so glad you chose to stop and spend time with us on your journey. Best of luck to you and your family and I hope you’ll have many years of safe and memorable travel in the Airstream. See you down the road!

Congrats on finding an Airstream with a Slide Out. And here Slide Out Society Owners Registry is the thread for the Slide Out Society. Owning a slide is the only requirement.

Safe travels.
