2002 classic 31' new bee

Hi to all
we just picked a 2002 Classic 31 from a real Airstreaming gentle couple in their 80s. they stopped where we want to start as we are hanging up the 8 to 5 next year. this a/s is in absolute wonderful shape. it has hydraulic disc brakes and a number of other upgrades over the last 10 years.
my initial question is with my floor plan. we do not have a dinette but we have more storage space and fold out tables. is this a common floorplan? i was concerned but it seems to work well for us and the two golden reteivers. just curious as all other trailers, a/s we have seen have dinettes. would appreciate any reply...
love the information contained in the technical forum and will keep following the discussions.
also is there any tricks to getting reservations in some of the more popular Fla. state parks. we are trying to plan our first free winter....2015 we want to start off in Fla. and if it works for us we will work our way across to Arizona in future years.
thanks for any assistance. Pete

the 31 plan without the dinette is one of the more uncommon ones, but personally I like it. Lots more free space. Originally yours may have had a table and four fold up chairs. See if you can find a brochure for the 2002 model.

Nice thing about yours is that it's great for using a blow up mattress for company (or pets).

Welcome aboard! Paula

Sounds like yours is configured like my 2002 ASCL as I don't have the dinette either. I figured it just takes up space and storage was more important. Also with storage in mind I opted to not have the stove (only the cooktop) in lieu of more storage drawers. My twin beds also allow for a more navigable bedroom even though the twins are a little harder to make up. Search on "withidl" where there are some interior photos taken while posting about my onboard genset.

The 31 with free standing dinette has 2 chairs. I suppose you could use the Zip Dee chairs to seat 4.
There is a new 2012 Classic 31 with free standing dinette on the lot at Foley in Gulfport. They can't get rid of it. Someone could probably get a real good deal on it. I like it except the mouse fur on the wall behind the dinette is dirty.
