1980 Excella 31

I am a full timer pretty much staying in one spot in Maupin, Or in a nice little trailer park that costs $160 a month. I have been living in my Airstream for five years. The main front awning has finally ripped completely off and the small window awning are not in much better shape. Does anyone have information where I can get replacement fabric? The main awning is an A&E Travel awn 5000, 21 feet long. The window awnings are A&E also. The main awning works fine except for the little release buttons on the arms. One broke off and I have to use a screw driver to extend or release that arm. I would be nice to replace that also. Any ideas? Thank you. Denis

Welcome Denis,
I see you're in Central Oregon.....beautiful country! We'll be at Smith Rock SP next week to do some landscape painting with my group.
As to your awnings.....if you do a search (top right corner of this page) and type in "awning replacements".....you will find a number of sources for replacement awnings.
A forum member, "Lewster", is a dealer for ZipDee awnings and you could PM him for information also. He spends his summers in Hood River, OR.
Hope this helps.....and again Welcome!

Hi Denis,
Welcome to the forums...Glad to see another 80 Excella II owner on here. I just aquired mine and it is a looooong way from being usable. I would suggest you consider replacing the awning(s) with Zip Dees. It will be expensive but a good move in the long run. A&E and CareFree are not very good at customer support of older products and parts are not readily available. You can get replacement fabric but that is about it.

Aaron
