Hello everyone.

I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I bought a new airstream a couple weeks ago and since then have been working at restoring it.

I am going to do a frame on restoration. I will keep you all posted.

My family and I live in Vancouver Canada and we are hoping to do a lot of traveling during the summer months. I am a teacher and my wife is a stay at home mom, so we can travel the two months off during the summer.

Thanks for letting me into your forum.

Welcome, I am in the process of a long term frame on restoration / reconfiguration of a 71 GT. I will most likely be in Abbotsford early next year.

Welcome from Niagara on the Lake Ontario!
Great looking trailer, I love the smaller 70's trailers, I have a '77 Safari.

Good luck with your restoration, ask all the questions you need to, this is a very helpful forum.

So far, since I started on the first of August, I have removed 80% of the floor, and Por 15'ed the frame. I removed, smoothed and re-installed the front and side banana wrap. replaced the subfloor. dropped the potable water tank, sanitized, re-plumbed with Pex and new hoses and re-installed. bathroom has been mostly gutted. floor replaced. old toilet and black water tank removed entirely and we have a new compost toilet waiting to go in tomorrow. belly pan dropped and cleaned, frame por15'ed and pan goes back tomorrow. will redo the plumbing throughout tomorrow, hopefully. New hot water tank and plumbing goes in on Monday.

That is where I am now. I am feeling good about getting this done in under two weeks so far. six days until I go extended camping in it. Here is hoping we have at least flooring done and temporary benches built and in by that time.
