1975 26' argosy refurb

We are new to this forum and pretty new to ASing. LOVE IT! We took about 9 mos. on the initial rework of our Argosy MH and it is an ongoing project. Have been taking it out for the last 3 yrs. Our big trip was this summer from our home in Indiana to Zion Nat'l Park. My sisters have also purchased old airstreams; one has a '78 sovereign TT, and the other has a '85 airstream 345 MH. We all traveled together out west as the "Alumination Tour". I must admit it had it's challenges for our old "girls" but we made it. We towed our Jeep behind our Argosy and that was an experience going through the mountains. Once we got the hang of that, we fared pretty well. The '85 MH had a ton of trouble including 3 blown tires and a fire in the coach while driving down the road! No injuries but my brother in law was all but in tears. Fortunately we can laugh (a little) now.

Sounds like you have some *experiences* to share. Would love to see some pics of your Alumination Tour --- all the Old Girls together.

Welcome,

The trip sounds like quite an adventure that was surely stressful at the time. It is amazing how we can look back and laugh about these kind of things later on.

Best of luck and welcome again.

Kevin
