1974 Sovereign 31'

Hey everyone. Just purchased a 1974 31' Sovereign. Already in love with the looks. We are eventually going to renovate and relocate the bathroom to the middle with a rear queen bed. I am really liking the new ones so I want to try and purchase the new airstream interior. I understand I will have to use non wide body furniture. But I think I will be happier with the look and finish of the furniture made for the Airstream. I want to do it piece by piece. Starting with the front lounge convert it to a dinette with an extended couch on the curbside. Then the galley will be next. During all of this I plan to strip the vinyl off the walls to the bare aluminum. I am excited to get started but since everything works it will be in the future sometime. I love reading all the good tips this will be a slow project I hope to have it done over the next several years. I want to do it right so it will take time. Thanks for all of the support hope to hear from everyone to weigh in with any helpful hints or tips.

Josh

Did you know that was an option in the 70's? Not near as many around as the rear bath. I have one. Also should help with rear end separation issues the 70s are prone to.

Yes I did know it was an option. Just really hard to find. We looked long and hard but got a great deal on this one. I knew we were wanting to do a renovation eventually so I wasn't as concerned about the rear bath.

The new Airstream interior sounds like a great idea. Remember there are the two recliners available in place of the front couch. For the new 30s. We have them in new FC 30 and really like the option.
