Smile 1974 overlander

Hello, love the forum and finally decided to register. I have owned the airstream for prob. About 10 years now and have only had to do minor repairs because it was in good shape .lots of electrical upgrades were already done along with new fridge , ac unit, toilet and water heater. I had a small leak around a window so I removed and resealed. I have replaced lots of old rivets but that is also very minor . Currently I'm putting 1/2 in bc plywood over my original floor to make a nice smooth surface for the new vinyl flooring.when flooring is complete ill be viewing the sight for ideas on a more modern interior. Thanks to all who take the time to post their insights and experiences 😊

The need to replace loose rivets is caused by vibration.

In your case, that could be caused by the axles having bad rubber rods in them.

The following will help you check that out.

The Dura-Torque Axle

The rubber rods usually only last about 25 years or so.
