1973 25' Rennovation and introduction

Thought I'd introduce myself and post some pics of my AS. Hope it helps someone as much as all of your posts have helped me. I'm a handy guy and here is my website with pics of various projects I've done. Www.barndancedesign.com

Bought this AS in good condition and working order.. I checked everything out when I ripped out flooring....Sub floor was solid and recently repaired, rear end frame area is good, axles still have travel and I re-packed bearings, brakes work great, all appliances worked. I was told furnace works but its original and I haven't needed to use it yet. Basically it was a great camper but ugly as sin...so I got to do the fun stuff.

Ripped out all flooring and furniture(none of it was original). Built new double bed goucho for back, and HUGE dinette/bed combo for front(I'm really tall). Painted everything white...including bathroom/shower. Installed IKEA window roller shades all around. Built entertainment center area. Resurfaced countertops with epoxy kit.

We love it and it sleeps four comfortably. Already put several thousand miles on it. Previosly we were in a teardrop that I built(pics on my website link). We've been from Mexico to Canada in the Teardrop, and now we REALLY appreciate the space and luxury of the AS!

I'll start with the front room interior pics....

REALLY nice work. How many Lonestar Longnecks do you carry cross-country with you?

thanks!

Thanks!

No lone star but plenty of La Croix!

Currently I have the Nintendo pulled out because I bought a modded Xbox that has every NES, SNES, GENESIS, and ATARI game on the hard drive. You can find these on Craigslist for about 100 bucks and I think they're perfect for a camper....hours of entertainment when needed.

Very nice looking. Clean open and fresh.

What kind of wood did you use?

Are the edges of the cabinets trimmed out with a metal edging?

Are the top cabinets easy enough to get into since they hinge in the bottom. I see you said you are tall?

Thanks!

The metal edging and the cabinetry outer framework is still factory original...only the cabinet doors in the front room have been replaced. They fold all the way down, so no problem with access.

All the wood, from the cabinetry to the furniture frames is plywood....so it definitely adds a few pounds😀
