1971 Trade Wind Assistance!

Hello! I recently purchased a 1971 Airstream Trade Wind, which I am in the process of hopefully restoring to its original "glory." It appears that the relatively narrow shelf behind the front gaucho is missing. Can someone please provide me some information about this shelf, especially with regard to what material it was made of, its width and thickness, and exactly how it was attached to the wall? I would be most appreciative of any information/photos that could be provided. Thank you in advance!

I have a 65 with an original shelf and can snap pictures in the morning if it would help.

Sorry for the delay keep getting home late then had to wait a few days for irrigation to dry out.

So ours is a 65 Tradewind.

Here is a shot straight at the window. It runs right under the window. Then a couple of shots from underneath. I do not see any braces besides the thin wood strips in three spots underneath.
