1969 Tradewind

With the weather turning warmer and work slowing down I am turning to start work on my 1969 Tradewind. I purchased it over a year ago and have renewed my efforts to make "her" livable. No I have not completed much work on "her", but I know its a "her" because she has a long honey-do list and the list keeps nagging at me (in a loving way of course). I have nostalgic reasons for wanting a 1969 Airstream. I spent my teenage years working around the family Travel Trailer Park, and spent vacations in a 1969 International Sovereign with my family.
Anyway with alot of work ahead I want to learn the art/craft of restoring my Tradewind and appreciate all the effort others have shared here.
Thank you,
Paul

You will love the Tradewind. I have a 69 Globetrotter and a 72 Tradewind. The Tradewind is my newest one. Currently replacing the furnace and rewiring control panel. And the list goes on....

I am in Easley, SC. Contact me and we can share some info.

Thank you Rick,
Is the electrical wiring in both your Trailers original? I was wondering if the older wiring will be safe or if its something that will need to be put on my list.

Welcome to the Forum from all of the TW owners.
The better half thinks this is the perfect size for a weekend or weeks on the road.
Copper wire in mine were all fine. Needed a breaker or two but otherwise no problems.
Need any info just ask here. Don't forget pictures. We're all interested what others are doing.

Tom
