1965 Tradewind-Looking for window treatments & new upholstry
Just purchased a 1965 Tradewind. It needs some TLC. We are looking for a good source to have curtains made and re-upholster or re-make the two couches. We live in Wisconsin.....
took out plywood in bathroom where toilet was-holding tank is cracked. Has anyone installed a new holding tank themselves, getting the parts...or know of a reasonable place to have it done...We are in Wisconsin
We have what looks to be wallpaper on part of it and paint on part of it-it's original. Is it possible to remove the wallpaper? How hard is it? What do you use? or is it better to just clean it up? What do you use to clean it?....
We just acquired a 65 Tradewind Double - did you have success reupholstering your couches? Any idea how many yards of fabric required? Ours is in good condition - the previous owner replaced foam etc... just not a fabric I like.
Hello from Colorado and welcome to the Airstream Forums. We had a 66 Trade Wind but never finished the curtains. My wife sews quite well and had planned to make them for the trailer. Others have used cellular blinds quite successfully. Photo below shows bare windows.
Maybe you can checkout the photo archives for mid sixties Trade Winds in these Forums and see what others have done.
This particular thread you found is 7 years old. Take a look in the KnowledgeBase at the bottom of the Forums page, and then Trade Wind, and then on your year. You might get some ideas there too.
