Newbie here. Finally retired and the wife and I purchased a 2005 30’ Classic with s/o. We’re so happy and blessed. Been reading the forum and looking for an Airstream the past 18 months.
We named her the Bessie May after my wife and I mothers. We live in central Texas and can’t wait to start our adventures.

Hello and Welcome aboard the Slide-Out Society Registry! We're happy that you've been able to start your dream to travel and adventures. Welcome to the forums with that first post.

Very neat that you've found your 2005 Classic S/O...seems like everything is in Texas...another new member in a couple prior posts from Texas too!

There's lot of knowledge and helpful folks that make up the group. Ask questions as needed.

Our Slide Master Gary S/OS #001 is currently out and about sliding around in the South Carolina campgrounds. Once he's back on the grid he'll get some Registry Numbers Slid on out to everyone.

There'll be some sliding around here in New Hampshire today with our first snowfall of the season...yuck...

Usually I rap my Hickory staff on the ground but I ain’t got it with me in camp so a crisp rap on the fire ring with my fire poker instead and to the sound of a cracking oak fire Chelsea gets S/OS#093.

Now make sure to ask questions and such if new to the AS.

We are Terry and Alice McFillen from Lafayette, La. We own a a 2002 34' Classic LTD Anniversary Edition with dinette slide out. We are members of Texas Gulf Coast unit and own a lot at Texas Airstream Harbor in Zavalla, TX. There are several S/O units in our park. Not sure how many of them might be registered with this group. Is there a member list I could refer to.

Sounds like you've got a great unit there with lot's of neat places to see. The post just prior to yours has our member list as part of it. We're very loose and don't have a formal registration process for our membership list. Basically what you list publicly here in the Air Forums Group is what we have on the members list.

You could be a new recruiter to add to our Slide-Out Group....we're at 94 members now and looking for more like yourself. No fee's, paperwork or dues...just have to post a request to join here on this thread.

Consider joining us for AlumaSlider 2 at Stone Mountain SP in North Carolina 18-20 Oct 2019. It's an informal get together of Slide-out Owners and those that care to join us for a good time.

Not sure I am set up to visit with the slider crew? Thought I was but then couldn't find it. I don't do FB or any other thing similar so not so surprised I guess. At any rate we do have a 34 Limited with a slide built in 2001. We love it and hope to see others soon as we are going to make a few trips this next year as my wife retires.

Thanks for the replies and I did get the private message. That was when I first tried to get set up. I guess I did. I just was not sure. My point about FB was simply that I don't do any other social media style communication so as simple as this is there still is a learning curve for me.

Airstream with a side! That has been heaven for my wife and me. We will seriously look at the 2nd Annual meeting of the Slide-Out Society. Sorry I called us sliders! I was telling my wife about the group at dinner the other night and that was the only name that came to mind.


We are looking to make a few trips this year and have never gone to a rally. Other than the Alumaslider #2 this year can anyone recommend anything else?


I look forward to keeping up with you guys.
