PJ3718,

The S/OS is just a group of AS owners that happen to own Slide models. We're a no dues, no bylaws etc AS S/O owners.

Having a S/O, posting that you'd like to join and presto chango PJ3718 from the Keystone State is registered as S/OS#064.

Questions about Airforums can be posted, pretty sure there is a forum thread area, still trying to find it.

If you have a question about how to fix or how does this thing work, find the appropriate thread and you can post your question. I sometimes used advanced search or use Google and look for topics in Airforums.

Welcome to Airforums and the Slide Out Society.

Gary

On the issue of photos, there's a sticky that talks about how to add a photo. It can be found in post #7 in this thread: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f138...ics-44928.html

Until jwgreen posted 120 (sourced from Airstream employee Dave Shumann), the previous numbers of ~84/85 and 100 have been bantered about. I posted ~84 earlier in the thread which is what I got as an approximate number over 7 years ago when I asked a Carolina dealer what he knew about how many had been built.

Until lately, that number has never shifted more than a few either way no matter where I heard chatter about those damnable heresies of Airstream design. The few factory personnel I've spoken to directly over the years pleaded ignorance or weren't going to divulge it. It is nice to get something from within a group that is notorious for keeping numbers to themselves.

Regarding the total number of Sliders made, during my trip to the Mother Ship a couple years ago, I confirmed the total of 84 units from 2000 to 2009 in 28, 30 and 34' units.

The number 84 appeared here in the forums. We all know that everything we read on the internet is 100% fact though.

I'd take the Dave Schumann number to the bank as to the correct number. He had a lot of years at Airstream and I think his number makes a little more sense.

Here's the pic I attempted to post last night. Very nice looking rig! Just wondering if they are members of the society.

Hope it works this time.

I think that trailer belongs to "tintent".

Starting to get a feel for this forum. Still quite complicated to me the way things are done. Hope I can get registered. The graphic shows two 2005 Classic 34. Neither seem to be registered with S/OS. Am I right?

PJ3718,

Tom STREMN added you to the list, see post 248 on a previous page. The post # is in the upper RH corner.

Tom can address his lists, he's just trying to make sorted lists, S/OS number, year info and state.

Just talked with Richard Girard our WBCCI President and he thinks about 1200 slideouts were made. He says only 16% of Airstream purchasers join WBCCI.

pj3718 - My fault on the list. I used the trailer description in your avatar that says 2005 Classic 30' S/O. I read your post and saw you quoted it as a 34' Classic. I've updated the information to reflect that.

I'll post an updated graphic in a little bit.

Welcome Sliders

Welcome to nswhite and Axeman! Glad you found us.

I see Gary assigned nswhite S/OS 65 so Axeman you'll be up next on his "Slider Rule".

In the mean time I made up some new lists to reflect all this new Slide activity. Made a couple corrections that S/OS members pointed out.

It appears as though in one case so far the Air Forums pull down list descriptions may not be on the money with what was actually produced by Airstream.

In another case I was using the avatar trailer description, but should've been using the information posted in the thread. Sorry...

Anyhow that brings us to the fact that we've accounted for 73 Slides.
