Plastic Interior Ceiling Trim

The vinyl sections on the roof are held by plastic trim strips. Has anyone removed one to see how the vinyl ceiling is tucked in? The vinyl ceiling in the front bedroom next to the trim strip is not flat like the rest of the trailer interior ceiling seams. It may be the vinyl has shrunk. I'm wondering if I can fix this easily if I removed the plastic trim. Its really only noticeable if the the light strikes it just right, appearing as a shadow until you get close.

I was playing around with the end of one last night, as it is a bit long and needs trimming. It appears to me that they just are tee shaped and have a splined strip that just catches in an aluminum trough. Start carefully at one end and see if you agree. I have never had one completely out....yet.

I've got a section (thankfully inside the bedroom wardrobe) that has pulled out and for the life of me I cannot get that sucker back in its groove.
