Fresh Water Tank Plug

I have a Classic 31'. Does anyone know where the plug is located for the fresh water tank for flushing?
Thanks

There is a drain (petcock) located on the side of the tank between the tires on the curb side - or at least that's where it is on my 2000 Excella. It takes almost a day to drain my tank as this petcock is invariably partially clogged and I've never found a good way to clear it - including compressed air. If anyone knows of another drain somewhere I too would like to know where it's located.

Here is what I have. There are 3 valves total for the fresh water tank. I never saw the main one for some time and used the little ones. They do take All day to drain. Then I found the main one and what a difference If you are still having trouble using the main one, you might try a higher solution of chlorine in the tank, like clearing an air conditioning drain on your house. My 71 Ambassador has a valve connected to a drain tube under the cabinet near the sink. The tube is connected to a pipe that has a valve on the exterior. Need to open both but drains quickly. Exterior valve look like PO installed.

The drain is behind the tires on the curb side. It takes a full 180 degrees to get full flow.
mine is very stiff to turn. It is easiest to get to by lying on ground in front of front tire.

Ken

See the small square metal plate on the bottom of the steel tank case in post #3 above? If you take out the 4 screws holding this plate on, it will expose a large bung plug in the bottom of the water tank. If you really need to clean and flush, this is the way to go. It'll drain the whole tank in about 30 seconds. Put on your swim suit though!

On my Classic 31, there are two drains between the tires. These are not connected to the fresh water tank but are connected to water lines. These will not drain the fresh water tank. The plastic petcock behind the front wheel is what you are looking for. This will drain the fresh water tank with little problem but it is a pain to get to.
