Indeed it is. Time to read up on treatment/abatement methods to slow the spread. Lot's of info out there.

Haven't bothered with all that on the 23, just keep waxed twice a year. Wonder if I should.

At the beginning I treated all cut edges.
That has morphed into treating only the symptoms as they occur. Filiform only happens on an area where the clear has been compromised.
I have not had ANY substantial new out breaks.
Just re-doing previous areas as needed.
The clear-coat pealing has been a more prevalent recent happening.

I'm looking at the "dropper bottle" method of application, is this the form of application recommended?

Bob,
All of us with 1997 vintage “ male pattern baldness “ anxiously await your take on this clear-coat peeling. Your solutions always work. Thanks in advance.

If the clear is completely gone the best thing is to clean and smooth the surface and re-coat with a quality rattle can clear. Don't over do it, it will always be there, just cover to keep it from spreading. 👍
This is under the awning...

I watched a video where Vinnie used a bone tool to a scrape the corrosion before applying corrosion X. Is this the accepted treatment. Will new clear coat adhere to a corrosion x treated surface?

Secondary application of clear needs a clean surface.
The X product prevents the filiform from spreading, apply it after the clear is applied.

I just treat the rivets once a year with a q-tip.
