AC photos

Turns out the dual A/C has the "high capacity" (15,000 BTU/h) in front and 13,500 in back. I wasn't sure.

Anyway here are some photos.

Key points.

1) The use of a stainless steel band clamp to hold the reversing valve against the compressor is a complete hack. It comes loose with use. Retighten it every year as a periodic maintenance item.

2) Starting relay and cap are in the galvanized metal box curbside, under the shroud.

3) Shroud attaches with four sheet metal screws.

4) 15,000 BTU/h unit should be able to be identified by the presence of holes in the shroud, which are there to improve airflow through the condensor.

5) These are R-400 units designed for the higher line pressures that refrigerant requires.

6) There is already a crack in one of the shrouds on my trailer (after 2 years).

Just replace my shroud yesterday.....6 years from production date. It literally was as brittle and fragile as an egg shell. Noticed a crack showed up all on its own...ordered an Icon direct replacement. When I went topside, I steadied myself with my fingertips on the old shroud and poked 3 holes with my fingers. After removing the screws, I tossed it down into the grass and it shattered into hundred of small pieces!
