My wife and I are new to the forums. We recently purchased a
1966 Overlander and are going to do a complete resoration. It has a twin bed layout with a bath in the back. It has black and fresh water tanks only. We were thinking of using the 2012 Eddie Bauer Airstream design/layout with queen bed which has exterior length 25' 11". Our Overlander is 26' 11". However, we were thinking about getting an updated service manual for the 2012 Eddie Bauer to use as a template/model for our electric, plumbing, black/grey/fresh water tank placement. We know there is a company where we can purchase service manuals up to 2005, however, we're looking for the most recent. Does anyone has any advise on how we can obtain one? Has anyone done a similar resoration before? Obviously we are going to replace our tandam axles as well. We also need advise on the best type of axles to use, and/or drum or disc brakes. The forums have been really helpful with other people's restorations, any advise is greatly appreciated.
