I find myself with a heavy heart to even add to this threat. I don't know if this is my problem but ever since I bought my 2017 IS 25'FB last year there was a funny looking mark under the dinette. The mark looked inconsistent to the rest of the vinyl floor but since nothing was ever wet or anything I just thought it was a flaw in the vinyl floor. That changed today. Today I noticed a little indentation on it. Upon further inspection it was soft (See Picture).

I checked under the airstream and there wasn't anything wrong, it's dead in the middle under the dinette.... .could this be my problem too? I'm over my one year post-purchase, would this still be warranty worthy?

Sure looks like water damage right there. Warrantee item (you are lucky you are inside 2 years). Large repair. I'd head to JC to have the repair work done - it's not a simple fix - They may need to remove some or all of the interior to lay new vinyl front-to-back once they repair the subfloor.

I agree with wulf. Take it to JC which fortunately is reasonably close to you. It’s going to be a big job—the whole interior will need to come out, the vinyl is one piece. And they need to locate the leak.

I’d have a heavy heart too. Not even two years old. At least you caught it in warranty. Big expense. All because someone at the factory missed a block. Keep us apprised when it gets sorted out.

No moisture, no floor rot.
dkottum,
What is the Airstream part number for the "shell/bumper plate seal"?
If not available, how did you confirm this information?
Thanks,
Keith

I was at an Airstream dealer having bearings packed and brakes inspected. When I came to pick it up, they adamantly refused to let me leave without them caulking (for free) the gap between the body and bumper storage compartment...

That leak is a very common problem. One of these days, I'm going to extend the bumper out a few inches to eliminate the spot where the water builds up and runs under into the plywood...

Southwest Coaches was a great outfit, with a caring bunch in the service department. Most of them went over to work at the AirsteamSoCal group when Southwest's building was torn down for a new freeway off-ramp. Sigh. Now they are just a bit too far away to drive to use them, so I get to do it myself...
