Water Damage

I have a 1988 Excella 32ft. I have pulled the carpet and have dicovered that the flooring at all 4 corners( curves) has rot due to water leaks. I can repair the floor but what is the best way to determine where the problem is?

I think the best way to help you is to have you do a search for "floor repair" and "water leaks" and see what you think. Basically there are two methods for floor repair, penetrating epoxy, or cut the bad section out and replace with new wood.

Leaks can be tough, basically start with a garden hose on the bottom of the trailer and work your way up until you see water coming in.

Since I am new to this I was not aware that water damage was a relatively common thing. I now am and will get the hose out! Thanks.

also i read somewhere on the forumn to soap all of the seams around the area in question then use (if you have fantastic fans to pull air into the trailer) or use a large box fan in one of the windows, the goal is to add a little pressure to the TT which should make the soap bubble at the leak

One other thing, if you use epoxy, make sure the wood is BONE dry........
