Textured Flooring in 30' & 33'
Anyone know if you can use a swiffer to sweep the textured flooring in the 30' and 33' trailer? If not, what have you found works? Don't want to store a vacuum cleaner as space is limited. Is there a better way other than the old broom & dustpan?
Thanks,
Tina & Gary

Hi
Swifter works. So do things like brooms. Wet (damp) mop works as well. There's a *ton* of space in the 30' and even more in the 33'. A mini vacuum cleaner fits in pretty easily .....

Keeping the wood look laminate floor in our 23 ft CD is a pain. We keep mats at the front and take our shoes off and leave them on the mat. We use washable bathmats to absorb any water and grit and then wash them frequently. the dirt and dust gets in anyway. We use a Swiffer, a hand dust pan, a tiny stair vacuum, and once in a while windex and a scrubbing brush on our hands and knees in the direction of the grain of the fake wood. The floor gets dirty, keeping it clean is a continuous chore. I can not imagine how much dirt gets trapped in carpets......No easy way to keep the limited floor really clean, just persistence to keep it under control. We change out the floor mats frequently and store them in the back of the pickup. Then on laundry day we launder them separately. it helps.

Prior to trading our 2015 Cloud 28', wife went to Wally World and purchased "runners" floor mats and we covered the main walkways. Cost less that $60.00 for the whole trailer.
We took them outside and shook them out on regular basis. Worked great!
Traded for a 30' 2017 Classic with the vinyl flooring and did the same thing. Unfortunately the trailer went to Mothership for some serious issues. But for 9 days we had it, it was great.
A small Bissel vac works fine. Just trying to find it in the expansive storage of the Classic can be interesting.
Safe travels.

Swiffer works but.....,
We have a 2017 30' and we use a small stick vacuum, works great and stows nicely in the big closet next to the shower.
Bought it at Target. Walmart too has a few to choose from, they're cheap and work great in the AS.

I just use broom and dust pan. Then a hand held vac for the base and corners, works great. Was just told no reg vacs. The roller would mess up the floor.

Hi
Dirt in the trailer is very much a "that depends" sort of thing. Out in the desert .... yikes !! In a "trailer resort" with astro turf everywhere ... not a big deal. We have a dirt cheap outdoor "mat" that covers a bit less area than the awning. I consider it a throw away if it gets really nasty. We have a normal "door mat" at the base of the steps. The dogs don't wipe their feet on it. Sometimes the people do. We also have the obligatory Airstream door mat at the top of the steps. None of that keeps dirt out. It does at least moderate the flow a bit ....

It is refreshing to know that proper door mat ediquet is being followed having the customary Airstream door mat at the door.
Such things gives me hope that civility and sanity is still alive in the crazy world.

Civility in all things is very desirable. Sanity, however, is somewhat overrated.
