Subfloor insulation--Ick!

Just make everyone nervous, this is what your fiberglass insulation in Vintage Airstreams looks like. It falls down, gets wet, holds the water against the frame, rusts, and is full of fine dirt (and wasps and mice...). If you have the chance, take the belly pan and lower skins off and get rid of it.

Zep is right. That stuff is evil and can only lead to ruin. I have already gotten rid of this stuff on the back half of my trailer and am dreding pulling the skins on the front half but it needs to be done. Not a bad idea to POR 15 the frame while you are in there assuming there is enough frame left to paint.
