You've done an awesome job! True craftsmanship. I love the rounded corners.

The lower angle shot gives you a good idea of the chamber I'm building in.

now it's time to go get some beers in me!

Fridge Cabinet Update....

Well, for the extra space on the side of the fridge cabinet, I decided to make it into a magazine-style rack. I'll be doing the same thing next to the couch on the galley cabinet. I had some scraps of perf-ed aluminum left, So I thought I'd see how they looked detailing the cubby out. I like em! I'll have to put my noodle back on and come up with a cool way to finish it off.

Main galley Cabinet is ALMOST done!

I just finished laminating on the 1/8" plywood to all the frames, and painted the kick plate framework black. I don't want it showing through the aluminum. Speaking of the aluminum, I took a scrap and test bent the corner. Works great! If only the birch bent this good! ha! Maybe on Stinky (my next project Globe Trotter) I'll do curved corner furniture out of aluminum? That would be sweet!

Anyway, it's upside down, but you can see the magazine rack opening that will be next tot eh couch. No wasted space at all!

Back to work. I need to finish the part of teh kick panel duct that connects to
the couch. I'm REALLY hoping to shoot these with lacquer tomorrow and install them. I can't wait to see the fridge bolted in!

Love those curves!!!

I absolutely love it. I am in Decatur restoring a 64 GT. See my blog "64 GT Restoration". Anyhow, I will be coming to the Fall event with my GT, even though it will more than likely just have the floor in and possibly some wiring. Who knows where I will be by then.

If you have time, I would like to speak personally with you.

Keep it up. I hope to have my shell back on, at the latest, by next weekend.

Thanks, Andrew

Pics from the weekend...

Here she is on the slab, with her sister ship "Stinky". There is SUPPOSED to be a barn over them, but that's another nightmare.

Anyway, on with the pics...

All the base cabinets are sanded, sealed and installed! The fridge is bolted in as well. I really like the aluminum front. I'm going to need to clean up the end caps a little. Especially the rear. It looks a little dingy in these 2 pics.

Underneath the fridge, we will have perf-ed aluminum door panels, and we are planning on having the side towards the door be our little wine rack!

a couple of views from the back. You can see the magazine rack at the foot of the bed. I need to pick a laminate cover this week.
