Squeaking Floor
This weekend I noticed that my new 2015 27' FB Serenity has a very annoying squeak and slight 'give' when stepping on the floor on the right side of the bed, back to the cabinet. This morning I talked with another Airstream owner, that purchased the exact same trailer a few months before me. He said that his trailer had the same give to the floor in the exact same place. However, his has yet to develop the squeak. The weather in S.E. Texas has been very wet and cold this year. I am wondering if the 'squeak' could be weather related. Certainly wouldn't explain the 'give' in the floor, though.

Us too
Pat:
In our 2015 28ft. Rear Bedroom Flying Cloud we have the same issue. The give and squeak is as you describe. Ours is on the left side as you are standing at the foot of the bed looking toward the rear of the trailer. I noticed it in October and still is the same today. The other side of the bed nor any other part of the trailer shows any evidence of this issue.

We have it in our 2012 as well. In talking with the techs about the issue, it seems to be related to the screw tension of cabinets and other internal structures. They adjusted tension on some of the screws around the bed, and it is better. I also have squeaks between the galley and front bedroom. I think that temperature and humidity are both playing a role here as well.
While still on warranty, I considered taking it back to Jackson Center, but decided to deal with it myself.

Pat-
Our 2014 27FB Flying Cloud does the same thing in front of the fridge/wardrobe-doesn't really "give" or "move" much that I can see, but it pretty much squeaks every time if you step on it just right. A dealership service manager told me not to worry, it's a plywood seam and also in my case probably where the utilities chase goes under the floor from street side to curb side. ymmv

My Avion 34W is 28 years old and the floor doesn't squeak, give, bounce, etc....
Airstream has something they need to fix.

Tried to attach a video but it didn't work. Talked with my dealer today and he forwarded the video to AS. They told me that the screws on the trim between the wall and the floor are probably installed at an angle instead of straight. As a result, they are rubbing on the floor when stepping in that area. He told me to back the screws out in the area of the 'squeak' and test the floor.
I'll try it tomorrow and let everyone know.

On my 2014 FC 20' I had a very annoying squeak in the bathroom door/shower area when I first got it. It was not always there but most of the time. When I had it at the dealer for service, I had them look at it and note it in the records. They were not sure exactly what it was (at least they were able to hear it and experience it) but thought that to do any fixing of it would require complete bathroom and shower removal. I did not want that to be done, the damage of bathroom removal and replacement to repair it seemed to me to be greater than the problem warranted.
Over the next 6 months the sound got less and now I only hear it occasionally. I am glad I didn't have any work done on it. There are times that the cure is worse than the problem.
So, my advice would be to live with it for a while and see how it behaves. Be sure your service records indicate you had a problem from the get go. If it is still there and still annoying close to the end of the warrantee period, talk to Airstream and decide if you want them to attempt to fix it.

Hi, my trailer has had some creaks; One at the bedroom entrance and one in the bathroom floor, but nothing as bad as that. Also mine come and go with weather changes and stabilizer use. You definitely need something done to that creak. [more like a crunch]
