Interesting. A few years ago I was at the Tampa Super Show and visited a new Serenity model. When I walked around the bed, the floor popped and I grabbed the wall. Another looker commented as the sound was like popping metal. It was as if the edge of the plywood was sitting on top of a ridge or something. It popped back up when I walked away.

This kind of thing is a manufacturing flaw that could really happen to any year or model. My '06 seems very solid; however, there are some crooked cuts I note with particular trim pieces. Also, there are others who have stated that '06 years were known to be missing sealant around the rear bumper. Not mine but just sayin. I believe the flaws we find are more unit unique than general issue. I have tried myself to find general model issues without success. The one thing I have heard is water leaks around the rear bumper AND leaking pano windows.

Okay I am going to post this fix again, though I am starting to think I am wasting my time doing this, because you all seem to want to punish Airstream and your dealer for this, and ignore what I say, rather than fix the problem for about $5.

Ahem...

The squeak is probably caused by the vinyl trim along the edge of the floor rubbing against the aluminum interior wall. The squeak can be eliminated by simply spraying some silicone dry lube along the top edge of the vinyl trim. If it still squeaks slightly, you can loosen the screws holding the trim in place, and you may need to move the trim all of about 1/32" away from the wall.

You're welcome.

2016 25' IS here, same issue. Most of the sound seems to be coming from that vinyl trim. Does seem to be a bit of flex between bed corner and shower corner though. Add to the punch list.

Yes, you, and Robert Cross, and someone else a while back in this thread hit the vinyl trim with the silicone (kinda like hitting the nail on its head ).

The squeaking is an annoying but easy fix as you said! We had the same issue and our Airstream dealership knew what it was right away (developed in our trailer after 15 months or so). I wish all fixes were so easy!
