Congratulations. Don't forget to post pics of it before you tear it down as well. We love to see how it progressed from what it was to what you make it into. It's always exciting being a long distance supervisor .
Merry Christmas,
Barry

Whatever you gut, post photos and offer it, even if just for the cost of shipping. It's definitely appreciated. You'd be surprised what huge value some small parts have for someone who has no other source--latches, trim, cabinet ends, etc.

The interior had been "remodeled" some time in the 1970's with new appliances and materials, and the walls painted. Painted walls never seem to last over the original Zolatone. I'm the third owner with paper work showing the previous owners, (copy of titles), first owner had it for 22 years and the second, 30 years, very cool..............

Wow, you are really tearing into your trailer. I like the floor plan. If you keep going at this pace you'll be camping by the New Year.
It sure looks like you got one of the good ones - long ownership, and used by not abused.
Keep the pictures coming. We all get motivation from seeing others doing their projects.
Thanks for sharing,
Barry

I have to say, the remodel actually was pretty nice for it's day! Can't wait to see what you have in mind for it though ~ we can compare notes!

Boy, you folks do NOT fool around. Impressive. Are you replicating the original floor plan or intending on rethinking that as well?
Merry Christmas,
Barry

Should 'recall' furnace parts be scrapped?

I'm 99% sure I'll be replacing my Suburban 'recall' furnace in the Safari but not sure I should offer parts from this unit to others, given that it's safety has been officially called into question. opinions?
congrats on becoming an official 'bucker', as posted in that awesome Aerowood full-monty thread, btw... you guys sure know how to live out west!

until I saw Blu_Hwy_Lady's interior (she's an ace at painting over the vinyl coating)!
or Brads' ( FLYFSHR) tradewind.

Starting to compound 1st cut
Starting to compound the inside, this will be the first cut, will replace all rivets with olympic rivets, then shave then to look like the rivets to the 13 panels, than compound second cut.............

Toastie, can you do a little bit wider angle shot. I'm pretty sure I'm looking at the dome, but I'm disoriented. Looks great, btw. I don't think this is going to take you 2 years at the rate you're going.

yes, thanks.
I'm going to replace the forward plastic end cap in my '77 Safari, so I'm very interested in how your panels fit and how they intersect the window frame. It looks like I could do it with 11 panels and get a good curve. I've got a photo of FLYFHSR's dinnette in his '59 Tradwind and it shows his metal end cap are made from only 5 panels, but they are probably compound curved.
Would you mind posting the dimensions of your end cap panels, just their widths as they join the straight side/top skins and where they join the window frame? Thanks.

Don't give it to him, he needs to figure it out for himself.
Has the floor been replaced yet? Seems like a ton of work before you lay the floor. It sure looks spectacular though/
