Replacing carpet flooring on a 2005 30' SO

We have an Airstream 30 ft with SO. We are replacing the carpet with wood or vinyl but it goes under the slide. Even when slide is extended the dinette sits on top of carpet. Do you need to take apart dinette to get old carpet out from under tracks and remount on new floor.

When I replaced the carpet in my '02 Classic w/ SO I used a tile-look product that installs like the laminates. I removed the inner trim board on the dinette floor to see a little better. Its difficult to see in that area at best. I put an adhesive backed product that is for furniture leg protection on the board that is over the carpet but under the slide. It is felt-like. Clearance is minimal and I do see a shiny spot on the floor where the felt slides on the flooring. I think my flooring is thicker than most of the current laminates. I removed the dinette seats, table, and couch. I don't know that I would put flooring under the dinette seats were I to do this again. To reinstall the couch, I used a hole saw and made separate little "donuts" for each fastener to go through.
