Replacement flooring

Looking for recommended products (Brand names/product lines, etc) to replace my Beautiful Brown Shag carpet. Want some form of vinyl product--have 4 dogs who do not wipe their 16 feet when they come inside. My preference is plank vinyl but have been cautioned that it may contract/expand with temp/humidity. Suggestions, please.

We used the 12"x24" interlocking vinyl tiles which shrink/swell more evenly and thus the issue with separation is reduced. The pattern is stone. All your choices will be affected by the climate extremes your trailer experiences. Its just a matter of how much the product is affected: check the specifications as most are meant for climate controlled homes.

We only have eight feet to deal with but each pup is over 150 lbs.

We put down TrafficMaster Allure Resilient vinyl plank flooring and also their fake tile. No issues so far.

Some older photos from the install:

The vinyl tile in the bathroom looks like real tile. We love it!

Search. Sold the trailer with cork years ago. Marmoleum has been used by others around here.

Beauflor seems to be popular with RV manufacturers but it only comes in sheet form. Since you live in Florida you can probably get away with using the Alure. Others on this forum that live in colder climes have reported separation due to thermal extremes between seasons. Note that all the residential flooring have restrictions for using the flooring in controlled climates. Too bad no one has a click together RV flooring meant to stand up to thermal extremes.

My flooring around the kitchen and under the dinette is buckling since I moved from Texas to Missouri. The last two winters getting down near to 0F has been hard on my vinyl floor.

Just a quick note on click flooring in our '76 Ambassador. Used Armstrong laminate "click-lock" (sp?) in 2003 when in So. Cal. Have been in Wisconsin for 8 years with -15 deg. temps and absolutely no separation problems. Great wear as well with 2 dogs.

So happy to hear good results with the click lock vinyl tiles/planks. I just discovered this as a lightweight and durable option and I would like to see it in person. Since it will be my full time home I'm not too worried about separation because I think I would shrivel up in the cold before the floor would! It seems to me the trick is just to just keep it as a floating installation.
