9x9 floor tile

So I need to put in a new floor covering.
The plywood is fine ,and the tile is all broken up
and considered fraible by definitions concerning
asbestos. How serious is the contamination to
the rest of the trailer?
Should I just cover this up? Or follow the osa
guidlines to removal .
So my real question, is what have others expirenced on this matter?

I use to be in the flooring buisness and had some past dealing with this before the EPA really went nuts on it.

In a home the usualy method to deal with this type tile is a 1/4 inch undelayment and new flooring over it and not disturb it if it's still securly attached. If it's still smooth put a one peice sheet flooring in over the tile to save the weight of the underlayment.

If it had any moisture get under the tile it's probably loose. If it's loose then it will need to be reglued, removed or replaced. In my experiance once the glue has been exposed to moisture the tile will come up easy. As long as it doesn't break or bend it doesn't create a great deal of air born contaminates.

Other then the beding and fabrics there is not much to contaminate that can't be easily cleaned. If you decide to remove the tile then first remove the fabrics. Wear respirator and take a squirt bottle of water and dampen the peice your removing. After the removal process let it sit so all the airborns are settled and wipe down all surfaces with a damp cloth and dispose of the cloth.

Mine is gone. It left with the rotted deck.

And by the way, I have fridge door shelves, and
Ice trays that were in my old fridge, if you are still looking...
Back to the floor, I wanted to get some other accounts of tile removal. beforere I make my move.
As I understand it in things I'm reading, there should be no power tools, and lots of water,
Particle suit,res.mask and lots of plastic covering
everything remaining.
i guess I'm weighing the risk, by hearing from others. Thanks
