Ol' hunt camp needs some frame reinforcing

I am starting with the foundation on this project and need to get the frame up to par. I took the belly pan and bananas off. The '78 already has many holes in the frame and a few outriggers completely gone. What is the bet way to reinforce these holes in the frame? I have my welder ready, we are just contemplating the easiest and cheapest way to weld on some fresh metal. What should the sistered piece look like?

That looks kinda bad. I would think about maybe cutting it out and welding a new piece in... It will continue to rust unless you sand blast it and treat it....

An alternative is to sister in a piece of C channel on the rusted frame. After the C channel is reinforced, you can put por-15 and paint on it to prevent further decay.

We just had our welder fix the tongue on our '56 Overlander last night. He had everything he needed in his trailer and came out and cleaned up the tongue then reenforced the two breaks. Here are some photos.
