New Hardwood Floors 87 34' Excella

We just bought an 87 34' Excella that is in very good condition, however we want to do a few things to update it. I would appreciate your recommendations for the type of flooring I should purchase, to be light and durable, and about how much it should cost installed. Just read from an older post, that someone put down the flooring across from side to side instead of from front to back. What is your experience.

hardwood flooring

I replaced the entire 3/4" marine grade plywood subfloor in my 1974 Soverign. I went to Lumber Liquidators and purchased a manufactured oak flooring 3/8" thick and 2 1/4" wide. I applied Bostik adhesive to the subfloor and set the oak in place. I laid the flooring lengthwise on the floor. I looks pretty nice. A friend of mine did the same thing in New Orleans two years ago and his floor is doing well. i removed the excess adhesive with mineral spirits and the Bostik adhesive remover.
