New Airstream owner with OSB floor dammage

Good Morning.

I am a new AS owner (last week) and to my disappointment and lack of AS knowledge have found a few areas of moisture damaged OSB. VERY DISAPPOINTED but continuing on. Most areas are small (less than 6" x 6") I have one area that is larger 2'x18" in near the rear storage hatches. I think your post will be a great help to me. I plan to keep you informed if your work helps me. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hey ckweaver! Welcome to our world. I understand your frustration with finding evidence of leaks. Unfortunately, it seems to come with AS ownership. You'll want to definitely pull the hatch doors and seal. This should take care of your hatch area leaking, unless you also have rub rail gapping. I have resealed both areas on both sides of my AS and no longer have leaking issues. Yay! Let me know if I can help you further. I'm a Louisianian too.

I had some small areas of water damage that left the floor spongey but they were small enough that I decided to try Rot Doctor to harden the flooring.

You need to use a respirator as it has some nasty organics. You drill small holes into the spongey floor and I mixed the Rot Doctor in a mason jar and then poured it onto the areas and let it do its magic.

It hardened the floor and I felt comfortable with the repair. I also had the trailer pressure tested, located the leaks and sealed them. three years later and still happy with the results...
