New A frame

Looks like I made a good decision on a frame repair. Bought a old trailer and found that the A frame was very badly rusted. Took off a bunch of stuff and checked it to see if I could patch it or get it done locally. Finally just took it to Airstream. They installed a new A frame and found and patched the leaks in the vista windows that caused my floor damage and the rusty frame. Glad I did it that way. I feel road worthy now. Put in the floor patch today and re-installed the sofa. New awning springs came today so tomorrow I will re-install the side awnings and away we go!

Good move to fix the A frame before going to far. Here's a picture of what can happen when the A frame breaks off when travelling. It was a 56, now it's parts. The A frame was rusted and someone tacked it just to get rid of it.

Thanks for the picture. I must admit that was on my mind when I found the rotted frame member. I did brace it up with some channel and ubolts for the trip up to Jackson center. 32 footer so a bit of load on it.
