mouse traps
hi- back to the mice thing- it seems like they have lots of good ways to get in if they want to, I am now just keeping a trap or 2 down in the plumbing-access hole, inside the galley cabinet, of my '72. This is where they would end up if they crawl down a frame member, and it's too much of a pain to try to screen off that hole from the interior of the coach- too many things coming up through there. But I have also attempted to leave them NO openings into the wall cavities, where they could nest, and, yecchh, reproduce. I have not seen one now in a month, only out in our garden where they belong. -tim

Ok, assuming get the bumper off my rig, I assume I will have access to the spot where my land line power cord penetrates the rear panel, the place where by black/grey water tube penetrates the cear coach wall to go inside the rear access hatch and also the frame ends. If I can patch all three of these, I think I'll be doing pretty good.

I have a question.....
How do the mice get to the rear bumper of the trailer? I don't think they can jump that high, or can they? I would think they would have to climb up a tire or the front jack.

They can definitely jump that high. Especially if your trailer happens to be in a camp where the back end needs to be lower than the front end to level. They can scale bare aluminum if need be.

But to answer my question, if I take the rear bumper off will I be able to see exactly where the main power cord goes in and also where the dump tube goes into the underbelly?

On my '73, the answer to your question would be yes. In fact, you can see it with the trunk door open and the rear storage compartment lid raised. Yours may be a little different, however. I may have some pics some place. Let me look.
