Leftover Stirling Silver topcoat by POR15

Hi all,
I want to buy a pint of Stirling Silver topcoat from POR15 but it's really expensive ($27.00 for a pint!). I won't use the whole thing. If anyone wants to split a pint let me know...I guess I could send you what I don't use. I just need to topcoat two wheels.

Or you could use Rustoleum to top coat over the POR-15 (much cheaper). I wish I had done that. I assume you are going to POR something with the black colored POR, then top coat with silver?

"They all leak" haha that's so true.

I used silver POR15 to paint the wheels, they were black and I wanted them to look nice with baby moons. They're the original wheels. I already put Stirling Silver on three, I wonder how Rustoleum would look, if it would match. I'll have to see. I just hate to waste this stuff, it's more expensive than top shelf alcohol.

Jim
I used aluminum Rustoleum on the exposed parts of my Caravel frame and on the steel propane tanks and all look great after several years.

Zep, was it spray? I could just spray a spot and if I can't stand it, get the Stirling. The current wheels are just for looks right now anyway, when we seriously start traveling, we're getting wheels that aren't so heavy.

Yes, it was spray cans. HD was having a clearance on it for 40% off.

I bought a can of it the other day and paid around $4.00 for it. I'm using it to touch up stuff as I go along.
