I want to finish up some threads here on the trailer restoration. But the next new threads that I want to write up involve travel. Sometimes it will be short trips and sometimes we want to take some major trips in various regions of the US and Canada.
I also want to thank you for your encouragement and suggestions on my trailer.

Bob,
I thank you too for your interest and encouragement!
Some trips that we're considering are:
1. Follow spring northward up the Atlantic Coast starting in Savannah, GA
2. Follow fall down the Appalachians southward beginning in New England or the Canadian Maritime Provinces
3. Explore the four corners area, Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon, painted desert, etc.
4. Travel the Pacific Northwest including Canada
5. Maybe Alaska someday
6. A variety of national parks in the US and Canada - We've already been to about 14 over the years...some numerous times.
7. Spend some time on the farm where our son and daughter-in-law live in East Tennessee - my wife grew up there, too
I'll keep working on the Airstream, because I like to do it. But in the future I want to mix pleasure with the business of improvement and upgrading.

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on this thread, but I do want to report that my wife, our collie and I spent two months on a major New England and South East trip this fall. We visited places and people in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama and accumulated about 6,000 miles on our newly-restored Airstream. The trailer is still a work in progress, but I'm glad to report that we had very few problems with the trailer. A number of small issues had to be addressed, but there was nothing major at all. Also, our Yukon XL is pushing sixteen years old (this April) and it did very well too!
I’m working on a thread to put into the On the Road Forum, but it’s a ways from being ready yet. For now, I’ll show you the trailer in a few places other than my driveway where it has resided for much of the past several years.
This picture was taken at a rest stop enroute, but I can’t remember where.
This is a view of the trailer taken from the observation tower at the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory in Maine.
This is a barn believe it or not, but it belonged to a wealthy family at the Shelburne Farm (south of Burlington, VT).

I’ll show a couple more of the trailer in different spots then I’m calling it an evening.
This is a campground within Caledonia State Park in Pennsylvania (a short drive west of Gettysburgh). It’s a wonderful campground.
Finally, this is our trailer framed by an old cantilevered barn at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, Tennessee.

Looking really good, Steve. Any interesting "problems" while on the road?

Paul and Gina,
If some day you do go in to Shelburne, send me a PM ahead of time and I'll give you some tips on what there is to see. Also, in addition to Shelburne Farms, there is a separate Shelburne Museum covering many acres. They were both part of a consolidated estate at one time and then two sets of heirs went in different directions. However, both areas are very nicely preserved.

Meeting House relocated and preserved at Shelburne Farms
Aage,
I had a number of plumbing leaks where I had installed screw-on fittings for my new PEX pluming (pressure side). I probably have twelve to sixteen of these fittings that I installed for easy repair (see picture below). They didn't leak for about ten days and then road vibration evidently caused them to leak so I had to tighten them all up over a period of several days. First one would leak, then another , then another. My water heater igniter electrodes closed up the spark gap and became unreliable in starting. I reset them to about 1/8" and it never gave any more trouble. I had a drawer slide break and the drawer fell out and broke into five pieces. I'm trying to find a replacement drawer slide (center mount) but they're obsolete and I haven't had any luck yet. So, nothing big, but several small things.
White Screw-on Fittings that Loosened in several places...I'm also replacing the 25 year old water pump this spring.
